UPCOMING COMLAND MEETINGS & FIELD TRIPS
  • Spain:  9th EUGEO Congress - Barcelona (4-7 September 2023). There will be a dedicated COMLAND Papers Session and Business Meeting during the Congress.  A dedicated COMLAND Field Excursion will occur on Friday 8 September. Schedule for Abstracts is on the official website. The Organisers invite Congress information to be circulated by others.  The deadline for Abstracts expired on 14 April 2023.
  • China: International Workshop on Geography and Sustainability 2023 - Beijing (26-29 October 2023).  COMLAND will host an on-line Thematic Session (#11 Land Degradation as a Local and Global Challenge) along with Sessions hosted by several other IGU Commissions. 
  • Ireland:  35th International Geographical Congress 2024 - Dublin (25-30 August). COMLAND is proposing a special Papers Session and field excursion.
  • A special "2 IGU Commissions" Meeting is proposed in Djelfa Algeria during 2024.  It is proposed that this will include a special COMLAND Session, Business Meeting and field excursion.  Further information will be announced when available.
  • A meeting is proposed in Cairo Egypt during 2025.  Further information will be announced when available.

2nd International Conference on Geospatial Science and Technology for Earth Observation (GSTEO 2023) - with special reference to environment and land degradation.  May 11-13, 2023.  Adams University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India.  This event may be held online because of local climatic conditions.  Please contact the organisers for more information.
